The rangers do 'The Gruffalo'-walks in the local forest, and Dieter sometimes played the fairy who took the children round the forest to meet the animals (and the gruffalo).

When we used to go shopping in town we regularly heard a shout: 'hey, that's the fairy!'...as some child would recognise Dieter...
